Bot for adding missing wikis

Hi Adam, can the bot be used to add missing wikis? There a lots of wikis on Wikibase Cloud (via Wikibase.Cloud discovery) which are yet missing an entry here. Personally, I'd only add wikis with x pages that existed for x months. Cheers --Kghbln (talk) 09:27, 9 October 2024 (UTC)

Hey hey, yes, I plan on getting to that bit in the next day or so :)
If there are any other elements of data that you think could be auto added or refined let me know, I'll slowly work my way through the defined properties for things such as extensions etc :)

I think going though properties step by step is fine. We can still figure out missing things thereafter. It is a good idea to start with easy things like extensions, etc. --Kghbln (talk) 07:52, 11 October 2024 (UTC)
So all wikibase.cloud wikis should now be added. I also wrote a little script to do a google search and try to find more things, and that aded 10-40 or so. I wonder if there are any other ways to automatically discover wikibases?
In order to help with querying, I think I want to add a few properties to show things like "entity count", which can be split by type, and periodically updated by the bot, also first edit, and last edit perhaps, as a gauge of activity?
You might find looking at this work from WMDE could provide some inspiration. You might also be able to simply take data from the API it exposes and use it directly T Arrow (WMDE) (talk) 08:33, 11 October 2024 (UTC)
Oh, that is neat, I'll certainly be giving that a go :) Addshore (talk) 08:55, 11 October 2024 (UTC)
Anyway, I'll continue poking and prodding in the coming days and weeks. Addshore (talk) 08:11, 11 October 2024 (UTC)
